As SP stated that one of the biggest reasons he wanted to make the switch to a 3-4 base defense was the fact that the Saints' defense was allowing too many big runs last season, especially through the middle of that defensive front - I'd imagine Coleman would instantly make the interior run defense better when rotated in.
