Re: Draft war room: New Orleans Saints
Here is my train of thought:
I'm using Atlanta as an example but there are teams in similar situations. Atlanta has 11 draft picks and only 1.7M in cap room. They will have to shuck players, I'm hoping some of their shucks are better than some on our active roster. San Francisco has 15 draft picks and 1.3M in cap space.... See where this is going? To cut to the chase, I believe there will be quality players released after the draft... By quality I mean a player at a position better than what we have at that position. The NFL trade deadline is not till week 6 I believe, so it's very plausible that our depth chart will look different before week 1, with names not in the draft or FA. Unless I am wrong. Then it appears I just wasted 5 minutes of your life that you can't get back. ![]() |
