YEA just watched the highlights he looks pretty dynamic against weaker college competition but he could be a hidden gem that's just not on McShay and Kiper's radar so much of where people are drafted is all about recognition and exposure IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT ACTUAL VALUE OR TALENT! THE MEDIA "Kiper and McShay" HAVE GOTTEN THEIR FARE SHARE OF GMs FIRED! It pisses me off when they discredit or credit one but not the other! If your from a big school or if your dynamic or flashy or on a great team YOU GET NOTICED, BUT THEY ARE PUBLIC INFLUENCED WAY TOO OFTEN AND TOO MUCH! They either go for or against popular opinion it's almost comical!
I TRUST THE SAINTS ORGANIZATION win lose or draw I go down blazing with them just like to voice some of my southern insight from the Top of the Boot!

ALSO I want them to sign Spencer Ware and maybe Russell Shepherd but definitely Ware cause of his ability on 3rd down and in passing packages even short yardage situations! He picks up a blitz and catches the ball about as good as any RB in the draft plus he's about a lock as an undrafted fa but that doesn't mean he's not going to be effective. #Ivory I know they'll be trading one of our many RB so they'll be able to add another after the draft! I BELIEVE THERE IS A TON OF TALENT THAT WILL BE IN THE UNDRAFTED FA POOL And you know Sean and Mickey love to find hidden underrated gems! And I'm of the belief we might should draft one late like Colby Cameron out of LaTech: He's accurate and athletic also smart and instinctive!

It amazes me how just because they come from Tulane they're bums nobody heard of. How's Matt Forte doing? I remember when a couple of us mentioned his name when he entered the draft and most people said he couldn't be any good, he went to Tulane. Granted Tulane doesn't have the money to land the talent LSU does but that doesn't mean they don't have good players that are NFL caliber.

Re: Saints to workout Tulane's CB Ryan Travis

He looks good in his highlight film but AGAINST WEAKER COMPETITION! So there is some questions to be answered before he can make a team but he looked like a playmaker in the film if he is #10 which I'm sure he is! We probably will sign him to a. UFA futures contract and be given a shot on the practice squad first!
WE ACTUALLY HAVE TALENT ALL OVER OUR DEFENSE! It just isn't built for a a 4-3 soft zone scheme like Spags used! Now I know we have our older guys that are in twilight mode but we also have alot of hungry young athletic guys ready to take their place! And we will be adding alot more because of the expected UFA that will slip out of the draft and the players get a say in where they go because the money is roughly the same! SAINTS ARE AN ATTRACTIVE DESTINATION IN MY BOOK

I think he looks pretty good on a sorry Tulane team.

To me it seems like you're either undervaluing White or overvaluing Travis when making that comparison - the only even comparison between the two is that they both are from small schools; Tulane and Samford.

If this guy is in fact on par with White - the Saints should definitely pick him up, and even think about using a pick (6th) on him if other teams become aware of his skill level, but I doubt that is really the case with Travis.

I would actually believe its the opposite way around. Having Coach Johnson at Tulane should give the Saints a lot more information on the guys on the roster than what you would have on any other college. And besides, its quite easy o bring somebody in for a workout when basically all they have to do is walk across the street.

I decided just to skip his posts from now on until he learns to abide by the forum etiquette, which is a shame because he does have some good points on topics and he clearly has knowledge of the game.
