Saints to workout Tulane's CB Ryan Travis

According to Ravens Insider's Aaron Wilson, the New Orleans Saints will take a look at a draft prospect from a local school on April 11th. Tulane Cornerback Ryan Travis is scheduled to workout for the team on that day to show his skills.

Travis had a total of 198 tackles(13.5 for a loss), 3 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, 26 passes defended, and 6 interceptions. Two of those interceptions were returned for touchdowns.

#10 / Cornerback / Tulane Green Wave

Height: 6-0

Weight: 172

Year: senior

Tulane quarterback Ryan Griffin also just recently worked out for the Saints. He and Travis are both said to have performed well at their Pro Day.

No doubt the reason for several of these workouts have come to light because of the connection the Saints have to Tulane head football coach Curtis Johnson who was the wide receiver coach there from 2006-2011.

no, but I saw him in person. ULM burnt him and the rest of Tulane for 56 points last year. Could of been a lot worse too.

Getting a little carried away now with the favors to coach Curtis, I think. Yeah, we get it, Tulane has a serious program now. Got it. Message received. All promising high school players out there who want a fast track to the Saints and the NFL, please report to Tulane immediately. We get the hint.

I would actually believe its the opposite way around. Having Coach Johnson at Tulane should give the Saints a lot more information on the guys on the roster than what you would have on any other college. And besides, its quite easy o bring somebody in for a workout when basically all they have to do is walk across the street.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS 1st a QB that wasn't even invited to the combine then a cb too! All they are doing is trying to promote Tulane cause they sure won't sign these guys! I MEAN REALLY MAYBE THEY GET A CALL FROM THE CARDINALS OR BILLS lol But the Saints are just trying to stroke some egos! I HAVEN'T EVEN HEARD OF ANY OF THESE BUMS!
