Gettin out (thanks a lot Ivan)
Being from Mobile and having a wife shaking like a cat passing a peach seed we're gettin the heck outta here before this hellstorm hits. No computer for a few days. What am I gonna do? I just hope I have a computer when I get back. :( [Edited on 9/14/2004 by Halo] |

Hurricane Ivan - All threads and coversations
Hey... new guy here. My family and I have bought tickets for the San Fran game this weekend. What do you think.....will the game go on? We have a room, but with the evacuation, who knows? We have about a 6 hour drive. What are you local\'s gut feelings!
Everyone keep safe.....this thing looks bad! [Edited on 14/9/2004 by SippiSaintFan] [Edited on 14/9/2004 by SippiSaintFan] |

Take it day by day. At this point, if the hurricane comes up the Mississippi, there won\'t be a New Orleans to visit. The Saints will probably have to play at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge for a while because it may take a month for the water to leave the city....
or the Hurricane will hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast and everything won\'t be so bad. Pray! |

Good luck.
Here in Charleston, we\'re still cleaning up from GASTON (and Charlie\'s remnants), plus sweating out where Charlie and now Ivan were heading. Best wishes. ALthough, Pat O\'s and Hurricans come to mind (if he\'s EAST OR Well WEST of the city). |

I\'m REALLY scared for the city. If this thing stays at category 4 or 5 and hits NO, then it\'s doomday.
Those of you that are there, get out and be careful--the rest of us are pulling for you and the city. |

Good luck and Godspeed to all. Heard today that engineers are predicting a direct hit on N.O. would drop 12 to 14 FEET of STANDING water in the city. Let\'s hope this thing turns for Mexico. They\'ll never notice.
Seriously, everyone be careful! |

this is a crock... not even a drop of rain here in the city... i was prepared to see all these elderly people here at the hospital but nothing... it\'s like going to see a fireworks show and seeing sparklers... granted i\'m glad were not floating away and up to our neck in wind and rain, but a rain storm or something... crap...
