this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; What would you rather have a 4th this year from some teem that is looking right now, or a 2nd round pick next year from a team that lost a Rb in preseason and desperately needs someone to punch it ...

I will miss Ivory but Ingram needs to break out. |

A 6th round pick? What a joke. Running Backs are always getting injured so I'm more than happy to hold onto Ivory unless we're getting a 3rd rounder at worst.

I would rather have Jonathan Franklin, Pierre healthy, sproles and tell every other running back to kick rocks.....

Re: Jets Offered a Sixth Round Pick for Chris Ivory
Saints should demand from the Jets what they paid for Vilma...
Saints sent a 2008 fourth round draft pick and a 2009 draft pick for a linebacker... Ivory is the best pure running back and he scores touchdowns... If Mickey Loomis gets anything less, he'll confirm he's the most overrated GM in football, living off the success of the Payton-Brees team... |

Re: Jets Offered a Sixth Round Pick for Chris Ivory
I wouldn't go lower than a 3rd.
He's that valuable to us. Even our 4th stringer is part of the gameplan. Any sprangs, pulls, twists and bruises among the group makes him even more valuable. If he gets 100 carries this season and racks up 450, his trade value sky rockets for next season. Anything less than a 3rd rounder, I would just keep him, and watch him punish some cover guys. |

I wouldn't be surprised to see him go, but we don't need to do that. Hold tight until we get a decent value for him. If we don't, let's run his ass off.
