Draft Predictions?
I'm not sure if a thread like this has been posted or not, so mods feel free to move it if there is one. With the draft starting tonight, I thought it would be interesting to see what member's predictions were for the Saints and the #15 pick. I stated in a previous thread that I have this gut feeling the Saints are going to trade back. Now with the possible Ivory deal with the Jets on the table, I'm not so sure. Could they package him to the Jets to move up? Could they just take a straight up 5th round pick? I'm anxious to find out.
My final prediction: Saints trade their #15 to the 49ers for their #31 and the #34. With the #31 pick, the Saints draft Jonathan Cyprien, SS, Florida International. |
People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.

Re: Draft Predictions?
Jarvis Jones is my best guess. He is the only one that will be there at 15 of the players I like.

Re: Draft Predictions?
MY HOPE IS IF WE STAY 15 "meaning our guy is there" LIKE STAR, MINGO, or VACCARO! OR WE TRADE DOWN "our guy isn't there but another team's is"
OR WE TRADE PLAYERS LIKE HARPER 5th or 6th, Ivory 3rd or 4th, or Thomas for a 4th or a 5th! OR WE DO BOTH TRADE DOWN AND TRADE ASSETS! WHICH I LIKE BUT ONLY IF YOUR BLUE CHIP DE, OLB, OR LT ARE ALL GONE! |

Re: Draft Predictions?
I HOPE WE CAN COME UP WITH A COMBINATION OF CB, LT, OLB, DE, or SAFETY!
IF A TRADE DOWN IS IMMINENT! WE CAN GRAB: Jamie Collins, Terron Armstead, Robert Alford and or Tyran Matheiu, and Brandon Williams ALL IN MY MIND ARE BLUE CHIPPERS THAT ARE DEVALUED BECAUSE OF THE SCHOOL OR DIVISION! ALL IN MY MIND SURE FIRE STEALS IN MID ROUNDS! Or in Tyran Matheiu's case character flaws! |

Re: Draft Predictions?
Im not sure if we are going to draft an OLB now, seen as we have galette, martez and butler signed, but if we do then great
Ive got a feeling we will go D line, O line or secondary, I wouldnt be suprised to see us trade back and land xavier rhodes, payton loves his CB's |

Re: Draft Predictions?
To me the value this year is in the mid rounds so I hope we can acquire some more picks in rounds 2-5 so I can't wait for day 2 and 3!

Re: Draft Predictions?
Okay we all got our point across so there's no need to leave all that lagniappe stuff in the thread. Back to the thread...
As long as it's not a WR, I'll be okay with whomever we decide to go with. Lots of quality players that would fill positions of need and arguably be the BPA when we pick. |

Re: Draft Predictions?
I believe we are in a good place roster wise not cap wise but talent wise! But I believe we need to maybe get some more picks for this yr and next because of the cap not going up until '15! The only way to solve that is by draftees!
