Roman Harper Position Change ?

He should be a linebacker , usually a leading tackler and occasional sack leader ... That screams Linebacker , he may not be a good safety but would have more than exceptional skills at LB in coverage , we know he can be a punch in the mouth on run support and blitzing sounds like a linebacker to me ! He'd be a fast linebacker too

Re: Roman Harper Position Change ?

He'd have to gain 40 lbs, I'd say that's more of an indictment of our awful history in the pass rush

I can't see him gaining that much weight to stay a team. I hope he see's the writing on the wall and know his time with the Saints are over.

I think there is more chance if change if address than change of position.

I may be wrong, but if we can't save money restructuring then I can't see him here, but hey... who knows

I know I'm sick to death of seeing that picture on the NFL Network of him whiffing on a tackle against SF.

If he retires/leaves/gets traded maybe they retire that thing...

It is a possibility that vacarro could be the nickel, Harper at SS, and Jenkins at FS. All three could be on he field at the same.

I think that is how they envision it as well.... Harper will either play himself back in to the fold, or play himself of the field. It's like Shawn gave the entire safety position a pass for putting them in Spag system!!!

Re: Roman Harper Position Change ?

Have him add about 5 inches to his height and about 100 lbs to his weight and he could be the Saints' answer at LT!

True, and maybe we can switch Will Smith to CB. We need taller CB's.

I would love to see an OL play running back for goofs. It's always hilarious.

It isn't for defenders...

Old enough to remember the Fridge running the Dive for Chicago?!?

There was a Kansas City Running Back named Christian Okoye aka The Nigerian Nightmare 6' 1", 260#, 4.4 40 - he pretty much crushed everything in his path until Steve Atwater laid one of the greatest hits in all of football on him though it cost Atwater a couple of years off his career...
