I'm guessing the Saints know or think something about JenkinsII that I don't. I'm still a bit disappointed about Brandon Williams especially seeing that Baltimore -one of the two teams I truly admire when it comes to personnel decisions- took him instead. Who's to say they wouldn't have grabbed JenkinsII if he'd have been there though? As far as grades go, how can you give a grade on players that haven't even seen a snap while wearing an NFL uniform? I'm feeling pretty good that they are drafting the positions I've been seeing as the most important and none of the kids they've been picking look all that shabby.

Looks to me like we picked a guy where he was supposed to be picked, and it just so happens that it also fits a need. I’d imagine all players picked in the 1st round fit their teams needs.

And I can’t think of any 350 pound NT’s that don’t have weight issues listed as a concern. They all do.

He was the 74th rated player on their own CBS boards, slated to be a late 2nd early 3rd rounder that we picked at 82. He was also ranked as one of the top 3-4 NT's available.

We were in dire need of a big ugly at nose, and we got one. Name me one other DT on this team that can play in a 3-4. You can't. My one concern is that I've heard he's a big teddy bear. Hope he can find a mean streak...

Bunkley dominated as a 3-4 NT in Denver before signing with the Saints.

Sorry, homers, other than Armstead our draft is a wash. I'll give Vaccaro the benefit of the doubt and not immediately call him another bust because his physical tools are so amazing, but he has a lot to prove.
The Saints FO has drafted all of 0 good defensive players since '06, every talented player we have gotten out of free agency. Why exactly would that change now, and in a garbage draft class like this one?

This is a pretty deep draft class this season. Outside of last year our defense has not been that bad. Through the years we have done a better job of picking up defensive players on the free agent market, which has kept us competitive. Jordan has been solid since we selected him a few years ago. Hicks has a chance to be productive and I really like Vaccaro and Jenkins this year. Lets give this draft class the benefit of doubt.
