Re: Vet Left OT ?

Look ya'll why are ya'll worried about a tackle! We got like 6 of them and 4 of them are capable right now with another "armstead" learning the Playbook! I will say this 1 more time Drew is very I mean Very good at manipulating the pocket so as long as our gaurds and center can give him 2.5 seconds he is Golden! Ya'll are like a little kid who is scared to let his dad let go of the bike when he is learning how to ride! I mean damn let these guys have a shot I actually think Bushrod was way overrated I mean way overrated! I watched the probowl and he got beat on every snap this year and the defense doesn't even try at the probowl! I believe these young hungry Tackles at position war is exactly what our training camp needs as a matter of fact if you've listened to Sean and Drew they are opening up competition at all positions except for starting QB! It will be the best training camp since probably our SB run yr in '09the maybe the best since Sean and Drew been here because Sean got a very raw, unattached, and objective view of the team's characteristics and weaknesses! So I do see a very competitive and disciplined training camp and offseason! So get ready I see us dominating! I believe the only teams that are on our level is SF, Seattle, Atl, GB, NE, Balt, Pitt, and fringe teams that can go either way KC, TB, Chi, NYG, and Hou!

Because numbers and quality has nothing to do with eachother. And because any success we might have is depeding on Drew Brees staying in one piece.

ok list all the ones that have not spent time on IR or been freshman red shirts

bring 10 more healthy ones and keep the best cut the rest i do not care. Protect Drew at all cost.

Brown can be an adequate LT. He just needs to stay healthy. Smith is the wildcard. This guy was the second pick of the draft. What is his disfunction.l? I am hoping Armestead surprises and starts as a rookie.

He had a serious concussion Nov. 22nd of his rookie year and missed the rest of the season.

Traded to the Jets in '12, released and signed with us this offseason...

Re: Vet Left OT ?

I don't know about ya'll but I'm excited about Jason Smith. This may be just the place where he can thrive in a system. His career seems to have taken a down turn after his concussion. Hopefully, he's past that and can be a back up to Brown. Heck, in training camp he might just take the starting LT spot. Move Brown to RT if that happens.
