NFL.com graded Thomas as the 68th-best prospect in the draft and Thomas was the highest-graded player not drafted. The former Stanford outside linebacker actually rated higher than Wisconsin center Travis Frederick, the Cowboys' first-round pick, and only a slightly lower grade than first-rounders safety Matt Elam and defensive tackle Sylvester Williams.

Those Stanford players are pretty sharp! Anyone remember the last Stanford player the Saints enjoyed? ........

If you guessed, Toi Cook... you guessed right. He was an UDFA as well. Here's to hoping for similar success with this particular Stanford LB.

Those 3 are my current UDFA longshot favorites, but the more I read the more I'm thinking they may not be longshots.

I hope they all excell at special teams (LB's usually do) so maybe they all sneak onto the 53 on the back-end of the roster as special teams standouts.

I'd like us to get younger and hungrier, even if it means occasionally parting with a experienced veteran on the downside of his career like a Vilma, Harper or Smith. Its how you keep that window from ever closing on you.

I'm hoping Reddick shadows Vilma this year.Learns off him and late in the season or the start of next year hopefully he will be ready to step into his shoes and take over.
