Re: Chase Thomas

More like a slower Clay Matthews IMO.

Kruger runs over you, Clay around you.

Chase is a probably a more intelligent player than both combined.

Re: Chase Thomas

Looks pretty solid with playmaker ability. Still can't believe he wasn't drafted, but I'm glad we were able to snag him.

Re: Chase Thomas

All these Shanle and Fujita comparisons aren't really needed! 3-4 OLB and 4-3 OLB are two totally different positions! 3-4 guys are way more rare and hard to come by atleast prototypical "length, strength, and speed" ones are hard to find! 3-4 guys have to do basically two different positions DE and LB they have to set the edge and rush the passer and the really dynamic ones can even drop and cover! So that's why they get paid usually twice as much or more! 4-3 guys are basically a safety that chases plays from behind and run free because they usually don't have anyone blocking them and roam free to tackle typically they don't take on blocks as well as 3-4 guys because of the length on 3-4 guys! Also 4-3 guys usually are safety like in that they have to be able to cover and run the seam with a TE or RB! That's why you'll see alot of bigger safeties switch positions to 4-3 OLB! I will say this since the league has gone more to a pass happy league both types are considered very important because so many teams have gone to a passing offense that require empty sets with 5 WR and TEs on the field which calls for more coverage and blitzing so both have their place but they are totally different!

Yeah it's the intangible that make them a like. Smart hard working and a motor that does not stop. None of them are naturally gifted with athletic ability. They are what scouts call "football players"

So the 34 vs 43 is pointless. none of them were expected to last long in the nfl much less be solid starts.

better be careful a lot people are banking on 43 mlb to become 34 ILB without hitch lol

Very true!! A 4/3 mlb does not always translate to a 3/4 ILB, it has me very curious to see how that goes. If healthy I think Romeus would be a great ILB. Could be that is why we all of a sudden have an ample amount of lb.'s. Competition should be fierce this year, hopefully they will be judged on skill and not name.

I like this kid... I like our entire draft class, actually. Hope it works out.
