ULM WR Brent Leonard to try out with Saints
MONROE, La. - Former Louisiana-Monroe wide receiver Brent Leonard has decided to accept a tryout with the New Orleans Saints next weekend, rather than trying out with the Dallas Cowboys as he initially planned.
ULM officials announced the change Friday for Leonard, who was the Warhawks' leading receiver last season with 104 catches for 1,118 yards and 10 touchdowns. Leonard is due in New Orleans on Thursday to meet with coaches in advance of Saints rookie camp practices, which run May 10-12.
