I agree with you on stills. I think Payton sees him as the replacement for Devery.

I am really excited about Thomas. From what I see & read he sounds great.
My only problem is that I am suspicious as to why he was NOT drafted... |

Re: Football Gameplan's 2013 NFL Draft Grades - Saints
Stills was another one of those offensive playmaker picks SP seems to make every year, and I do think he can become a real contributor for the Saints. Now, I do see your point about getting more of a possession receiver instead, but they kind of did that last year with Nick Toon who spend his rookie season on the IR and therefore is virtually a rookie himself.
As Stills is a very good route runner with great hands and not with the annoying tendency of letting the ball hit him on the numbers instead of catching it cleanly with his hands - I think the can be a very effective slot receiver for the Saints in the mold of Lance Moore. I've also read that he is an aggressive and willing participant in the blocking game, which is always a good thing when it comes to the Saints' screen game. Nice video all around! |

Thanks Gang! I just can't trust Stills' hands..catching the back of the ball means he sees it way too late. As far as Ryan Griffin is concerned. He may be a PS possibility. I was holding out hope that the Saints would've taken Barkley before the Eagles did

Our UDFA's LBer's look good. A thumper inside and a tackler on the outside ......sounds like two very good picks.
