New Orleans Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro doesn't need interceptions or blazing 40 times to dazzle NFL scouts

Its been stated that the reason he didn't catch many INTs is because he played in the slot. And I have a cousin who goes to UT and went to all the games. He says QBs never threw his way because of coverage. He told me from what he saw he can play in the box and cover very well so most QBs tried to stay away from him altogether and when they did throw his way, usually when he was in the slot, he would quick to deflect or wraped up so there were no YAC.

Don't be stuck on the INT stat you see on paper. Look at his tape and see what he does on the field. Same thing with Keenan Lewis...not many INTs but his man hardly caught the ball... I can live without the INTs if he can keep his man from catching the ball. Something NONE of out DBs did last yr.

And from what I've heard from my cousin...the few INTs he did make were difficult catches. He says he has hands but QBs avoided throwing his way.

We have five turnovers, a DC calling the same blitz every play and you blame the loss to the niners on one or two players? Really? A year before that we somehow back into the playoffs and a game against the Seahawks. We have no running game and our playbook is whittled down to handoff to a castoff, screen pass, long desperate throw then leave it up to an exhausted defense to try to do something and you blame it on the same guy? Really?

He did start out as a receiver after all.

+1. Kenny V will surprise a lot of naysayers... he is a talented ball player that will make smart decisions in the secondary when given the opportunity.
