I was thinking about adding Harper... but I'm hoping it stays mostly in the front 7.

I'll go Jordan but I hope it'll be one of the linebackers.

Wilson could play inside or outside so it's hard to know how they will use him. Ryan likes to send Butler blitzing and Gallette has been good in limited playing time. So, it's a toss up there.
I voted for Gallette mostly because the FO just signed him to another deal which means that coach Payton and coach Ryan like him too. I would like to see this poll again midway through training camp.

DE's in a 3-4 usually do not produce many sacks themselves as their jobs are to occupy as many blockers as possible to give the OLB's a less guarded access to the QB. I went with Butler given he had three sacks in only two starts for Ryan last season. He knows the defense and he is hungry.

No way. I can't see a 3-4 NT or DE (his two options) being a team leader in sacks.

Only if the o-line he was going up against is absolute garbage, his job will be to get double teamed so our OLB can take a free shot at the QB...I went with Butler but I think it might actually be Gallette.

Im going to say Cam Jordan because he played in a 3-4 @ Cal and he's getting better as a pass rusher maybe we can get some JJ Watt numbers out of him buteven another 8 in this new scheme from him and Im good.

Normally I'd agree, but since Hicks is going to have the breakout year of all breakout years - it simply doesn't matter where he lines up! ;-)

If Wilson plays predominantly outside, my money is on him. I could see at least two or three of these guys in double-digits.

My guess is galette but anybody that gives us a stable and dominant pass rush, ill buy them drinks all night lol

I dont think Cam Jordan will lead us in sacks this year, he's the DE in the 3-4 so if im right I think his main key will be getting some push upfront and collasping the pocket making it easier for our OLB's to get to the QB

I'm still beating on the Junior drum. I think this guy is going to get 10+ sacks this year.
I really hope to see what Romeus can do if he could stay healthy. He appears to be the defensive version of Adrian Arrington. A lot of hope but just can't get on the field.

So true, we have so much semi-proven talent to throw at that rush backer position, and a few inside blitzers, and Harper/Vacarro that its virtually impossible to point to just one guy.

I'm not sure we have one guy thats gonna give us 10-12 sacks, but we're loaded with a bunch of guys who could get us around 6-10 each.

Lst year as a team we finished with 30 sacks (27th in the NFL), I could see that total rise to 40 (around 10th in the NFL) if things go well, especially if the offense starts lighting up that scoreboard like a pinball machine.

My gut feel is either Junior Galette or Victor Butler. They look like the best option at WOLB.
