Ahh the memories....
The play I was talking about starts at 5:24, all the radio calls and everything |
Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Reuben Mayes is still a class act - one of our truly underappreciated stars...
Dalton Hilliard got the LSU love - but Reuben Mayes cutting through those blocks behind Stan Brock was truly awesome... |
Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Deuce was our greatest back - hands down...
If we'd had a Bruce Matthews to run behind - who knows?!? |

Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
This is nothing more than a power ranking, but at one position and one team.
Isn't it just as ghey? |
Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Just curious, how many people voting have actually watched all of the RB's listed play?
IMO, Dalton Hilliard, Deuce McAllister no doubt |
Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Deuce no contest. Williams was the most intimidating while healthy and lucid, which wasnt often....

Duece with a SPECIAL shout out for Chuck Muncie.
Chuck used to lay out corners and safeties that were late trying to go low. Snap that neck and call for the trainers. I loved that "Lightning & Thunder" combination. May he rest in peace. |

Without this play, we probably don't win SB44
The play sealed "Ambush". The timing was critical. Brilliant piece of running. |
