Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
If you have Wayne Wilson, you may as well have put Hokie Gajan (who led the NFL one year with a 5.1 ypc avg.). To me, it's Deuce! :bng: |
Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Deuce is running away with it...............again! Ha!

Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
it was between muncie and deuce to me and i choose muncie, as a lot of u remember when bush was a shot in the arm for the franchise and community the muncie draft was awesome to the few that remember, he gave us a feeling of this is it we will finally have a winning season. which of coarse didn't happen. but he was an sight to watch him plow over people. and the only back i remember with the saints to get around a corner and he left people and good defences in there tracks. deuce was aplow also but nowhere near the speed he had. and if it wasn't for his powder addiction he may have made it as our first to HOFer. imo. he was a favorite of mine at the time. and wnen they traded him away during the season was shocking to us all.

The "other" 38 TD Tony Baker and 48 Andy Livingston. The first Thunder and LIghtning!

Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
What! No "Gil The Thrill?", Tom Barrington, Curt Watson, Don McCall, Elija Pitts, Howard Stevens and last but not least Joe Don Looney!!

Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Reuben Mayes would have been second only to Muncie talent wise. Watching him turn the corner was thing of beauty.
I voted Deuce. (The two best RBs to ever wear a Saints uniform were Jimmy Taylor and Earl Campbell. Both were over the hill by the time they got here though. ) |

Quote:
He had subpar QB, WR, TE & a good O line. He really moved that offense :bng: |
Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Dalton Hillard. He could cut on a dime and give you change for a quarter.

Re: Ranking the all-time best running back greats in New Orleans Saints history
Reuben Mayes predicting the Saints will go to the Superbowl (2009).
Now ya'll forgot Hokie Gajan on that list? Hokie played a season and was leading rusher until he had a brutal leg injury that cut his pro career super short. |
