Aaron Stecker is strickly a COMPLIMENTARY RB. No way he can hold the fort for more than 3 or 4 games. Get Ki-Jana back ASAP! Do we actually have an Oline coach? Where is he hiding? I never thought I'd ever see any OC worse than Carl Smith. I was dead wrong. WOW, look what happens when WR's actually catch the ball. Donte, Horn and Pathon lived up to the hype Sunday. Too bad our playcalling can't utilize them more effectively deep. Even with a mediocre game Coutney Watson is still our best LB. We need Darren Howard back fast. Will Smith will be a star eventually, but Darren is missed right now. Its hard to implement the rotation philosophy when half the D-line doesn't play. When Brooks brings his A-game, there are few better in this league. How many of you have started your Coaching Candidate lists already? On 4th and 4 why do you even think about blocking a kick and risking running into the K? I can still see this team winning 10 games even with Haz/McClueless/Venthru-me in control, but I'm a lot more worried about it now. Without Deuce do we have a prayer against a St Louis team that was totally embarrassed this week? |

ROMEO CRENNEL Romeo Crennel is recognized as one of the top assistant coaches in the NFL. Last season, Crennel served as the coordinator of a record-setting defensive unit while celebrating his fourth Super Bowl championship. He was recognized by the Pro Football Writers of America as the NFL’s Assistant Coach of the Year in 2003. The man knows what it takes to get to the Super Bowl ..... |

08 what chance do you think the Saints would have in hiring Crennel? Do you think he would be interested in coming to the Big Easy? I know a lot of NFL personnel aren\'t.

Look at the big picture , Benson could seal a deal with the state to keep the Saints in New Orleans for years to come . Coaching is the major problem with the Saints , so Crennel would have a talented team loaded on offense and he could personalize the defense to his liking .Benson has been more then generous with Hasbeen on keeping him , so this is an owner friendly team unlike the Plowboys or Traders . The practice facility is in the top of the league . Benson usually cleans house on the staff so it would be for Crennel to set up what he wants with the personel packages . New Orleans has alot of advantages over other teams that might be looking for coaching staffs next year .... |

Now, I am not suggesting that the offense played the kind of good mistake-free football that we all expected, BUT they did score 30 points. I don\'t know how much more to expect out of this team. The O-line looks undisciplined and the TEs have been reading their own press... the running game is hurting. That said, the offense still put up 30 and won the game for us. On the other hand, the defense game up 27 points, 180 yards rushing, 200 yards to a QB getting his first start, allowed 17 points in the second half, and couldn\'t stop a so-so running game or a flat bad passing attack. In fact, our great D-line couldn\'t even rattle this \"rookie\" QB. I think maybe some of us are placing the emphasis on the wrong place. Again, McCarthy is not a good coach, but the problems here continue to me to seem to be all stemming from a lack of discipline, structure, and good planning. There is no accountability on this team, despite all of the \"scary\" faces Jim makes on the sidelines. |

You can\'t in any good faith dump on the offensive play-calling based on yesterday\'s game. McAllister leaves after 3 carries, and Stecker sprains his ankle mid-game as well. My guess is, with no other RBs active to turn to, that scrapped a lot of the playbook. Anything other than straight-ahead runs would seem to be pretty much out, leaving only runs up the gut by an injured back to use to balance out relying totally on the passing game.

The OC is Carl Smith in a Mike McCarthy suit! The DC is Eric Cartman in a slim suit! Neither can get the job done and Haslett puts up with it. NO RESPECT!!!
