I shouldn't have to tell you how much that hurt defenses across the league.

I don't buy that, that sounds like some Atlanta fan logic saying the league gave us a Super-bowl in '09 because of Katrina

...That doesn't sound similar at all.

"During the 18 week, 4 day period, there was no free agency and training camp, and players were restricted from seeing team doctors, entering or working out at team facilities, or communicating with coaches."

That's a fact. The lockout actually happened, and it ran into training camp and other OTAs.
How in the world does that even sound remotely similar to Falcon fan conspiracies?

Do you honestly believe the players didn't miss a beat, even though they didn't have those practices in April/May/June/majority of July?

That sounds highly improbable.

But yet, we set the record for a bunch of offensive team stats, hell our defense was ranked 13th...

I guess everyone really suffered except us? Quit fishing for excuses...

Funny how you left out the most important stat. What is the goal of the offense? To score points.
Total points scored:
2007 Patriots: 589
2011 Saints: 547

I'm really not sure why you are getting on my case though. I said the 2011 Saints offense is one of the best I've seen. Top 3, even. Just looking at it objectively, I can't call it #1.
And you're getting on my case because I'm calling the 2011 Saints offense one of the best in NFL history? Really?

Read this article. I realize it's from BleacherReport, but it still explains how defenses suffered from the lockout. NFL 2011: In the Post-Lockout Era, Lack of Defense, Injuries Plague the Season | Bleacher Report

NFL Network Top 10 Passing Seasons . The identifier is passing, not points. Your going to have to create another thread.

Speaking of the lockout as a * we might as well do the same thing for Spygate which is also another fact. I would say bounty gate but nothing was ever proven beyond he said she said. It's not like buckets of evidence had to be destroyed or anything like Spygate.

Not picking sides here but trying to prove a point by referencing a Bleacher Report article is weak.

Hey, I'm not disagreeing.

B/R is usually a pretty bad site, but I think that particular article proves its point fairly well.

I'm not basing my opinion off that article, fwiw. I didn't even know that article existed until today.
