Drew Brees led the most explosive offense in the NFL to a 13-3 record this season and an NFC South title. Brees broke Dan Marino’s passing record, throwing for 5,476 yards and forty-six touchdowns. Brees also set NFL records for most completions in a season with 468, most 300-plus yard passing games in a season with 13, most 350-plus yard passing games with four, and a 71.2 percent completion percentage.
Still don't think our 2011 offense was as good as the 07 Patriots. Just my opinion. I think our 2011 offense is one of the best, just not THE best.

The league was also pretty different that year, in case you forgot. We almost didn't even have a 2011 season due to the lockout, but by the time the labor dispute was resolved, there was only a month left for teams to prepare to begin the season. I shouldn't have to tell you how much that hurt defenses across the league.

We do have a statistical advantage over the 07 Patriots, but numbers don't tell the whole story.

I don't buy that, that sounds like some Atlanta fan logic saying the league gave us a Super-bowl in '09 because of Katrina

...That doesn't sound similar at all.

"During the 18 week, 4 day period, there was no free agency and training camp, and players were restricted from seeing team doctors, entering or working out at team facilities, or communicating with coaches."

That's a fact. The lockout actually happened, and it ran into training camp and other OTAs.
How in the world does that even sound remotely similar to Falcon fan conspiracies?

Do you honestly believe the players didn't miss a beat, even though they didn't have those practices in April/May/June/majority of July?

That sounds highly improbable.

But yet, we set the record for a bunch of offensive team stats, hell our defense was ranked 13th...

I guess everyone really suffered except us? Quit fishing for excuses...

Funny how you left out the most important stat. What is the goal of the offense? To score points.
Total points scored:
2007 Patriots: 589
2011 Saints: 547

I'm really not sure why you are getting on my case though. I said the 2011 Saints offense is one of the best I've seen. Top 3, even. Just looking at it objectively, I can't call it #1.
And you're getting on my case because I'm calling the 2011 Saints offense one of the best in NFL history? Really?

Read this article. I realize it's from BleacherReport, but it still explains how defenses suffered from the lockout. NFL 2011: In the Post-Lockout Era, Lack of Defense, Injuries Plague the Season | Bleacher Report
