He'll be fine. I'd like to make a run at him. He's a true 3-4 ILB, something we don't really have. We've got two ILB we're hoping can make the transition. I'd hate for him to come steal a spot from Vilma because of all the great things I've heard about him in camp, but he's an upgrade in terms of the physical aspect of the game. Vilma is the one who isn't the same. Only mentally.

I agree with that. I don't want us to break the bank on him. Its a long shot we get him even if we wanted him. From what I hear he wanted a lot of money from the Pack.

We have what we need...

...Remember how many holes we had in 2006 with a first year head coach in Sean Payton?!?

We've got way more talent than we had then...what we need is defensive coaches to approach the success the offensive coaches for the Saints have...

Though I'd still like to trade Will Smith and Junior Galette for some better "fits" for our team - I like what we have at both WR and LB and those guys, given the opportunity under Payton/Brees Leadership will be just fine...

Hmmmmm..................how many more players of his strenghths will be available between now and the start of the season? We could most certainly bring him in for a physical and get him into camp if all things look good to Payton and company.
We don't have to have our roster down to 53 for awhile. I like the idea but I don't want to take anything away from this young group we've assembled.
