Marques Colston Does it Again

Marques Colston has long been adored for Saints fans. He’s one of the team’s top wide receivers. He’s the author of his own children’s book. And he looks like this in a bathtub.

Yet even with all that, Colston has found a way to out-marvelous himself. Today he’s hand-delivering a check for $103,000 to Children’s Hospital of New Orleans. The money will be put toward the purchase of a portable X-ray system for infants in the Neonatal ICU. A hospital spokesman told nola.com that the unit would help drastically reduce the number of newborn’s exposed to radiation.

So in case you were wondering, there are still some good-guys left in the NFL.

The guy is just Money...and he's not worried about his own. IQ+

A lot of the youngsters should be taking pointers from this guy.

When you are surrounded by gentlemen there is a better chance of being a gentleman.... That is not specific to Colston.

Re: Marques Colston Does it Again

This is how a real receiver should carry himself, not all that drama and bs. Roddy White and some other receivers should all take notes on how to be classy from Marques.

The end is nigh

That is a Sean Payton type of player. I'm so glad he's a saint.

Isnt it weird that when you act a fool and are a diva, you get media coverage. When people like Colston do charitable things like this, they tend to look the opposite direction. I truly dont get?

At any rate, way to go man and keep showing class Colston!

Probably going to end up being the most under appreciated to have played in the NFL when he retired

Only ones that really appreciate him are us

He's just a bigmouth.

And he backs it up; he's got a far worse QB than MC12, yet puts up better #s.

Considering he's pretty much the only weapon Skid Britches has to throw to, it's to be expected...

Now Brees on the other-hand, it's not uncommon to see completions to 5-7 different guys a game...

But who has the ring; enough said! Superbowl or Bust for the second year in a row!

Re: Marques Colston Does it Again

Roddy White has roughly 1000 more receiving yards than Colston in his career. Colston has 6 more TDs than White, but White has been in the league a year longer. They both have 6 1000 yard seasons, so how is he better? With Colston having 100 less catches...

Re: Marques Colston Does it Again

Today's productivity, huh? How does 10 TDs to your 7 work? 200 less yards, but why does it matter when your scoring more with fewer receptions? That's for last season

Why is Colston ranked the 87th best player by fans when Roddy is ranked the 30th best?

Why is Roddy a 4x ProBowler? And an All-Pro?

So who's better depends on what others opinion is? I'm just stating recorded facts that proves Colston scores more with less opportunities than White and you bring peoples opinions into it?

You act like every other Falcon fan...

You're proving nothing! The TDs mean more than what observers opinions are, the NFL's stat book doesn't lie...

Yes he's decent, not better than Drew but decent. My opinion is he's a skid mark though... And you change the subject because? I'll take that as conceding defeat...

Re: Marques Colston Does it Again

Subject change from White/Colston to Brees/Ryan; guess what? You taste defeat once again!

If you want to get technical about it; the QBs, receivers, TE's, and running backs would be nothing without the O-Line; but guess what? The Falcons lose again!

You may be the captain of your high school debate team, but it's obvious you don't know **** about football...

My football background? Played from when I was young all the way through high school... DB and WR...

And you don't know **** because your reasoning behind players ability is based on the opinions of others and pro-bowl nominations. And the fact; I have yet to see you engage in any worthwhile football conversations. You chime in just enough to stir everyone up and get a "debate" going so you can "try" and show off your skills... And then when you get called out or shown up, you start clamoring about "objectivity". Otherwise known as a troll...

No; but I'll trust the recorded stats over those players. Remember this was a debate on which receiver was better, the stats proved Colston is. Why would opinions matter?
