Thank You Football Gods.

There have been some devastating injuries across the league this past week. Either by grace or luck we have not had any yet...

Thank your God today that we get through each day with out a devastating loss like other teams have had. :bng:

Turk McBride has just gone down to a ruptured achilles tendon.

We had ours in OTAs hopefully no more.

Let's not talk too quickly, gang! Apparently Tom Johnson left the field today...but is back out, not likely to practice anymore for the day though. Let's pray that, due to the outstanding health of our players, our coaches have the hardest decision to make in coming up with the 53.

I wonder if it has anything to do with Payton's new conditioning regime?

Re: Thank You Football Gods.

Spoke too soon; we may have lost Wilson and Hakim in this mornings practice...

Hakim was carted off and the trainers were holding Wilson's left arm as he was brought inside

Re: Thank You Football Gods.

I didnt speak too soon and I am not going to panic because someone got hurt. I will reserve that for a formal press release that someone is INJURED and out for the season.

McBride is a Bears problem and there is nothing out yet about Wilson or Hakim

Also comparatively speaking none of those mentioned come even relatively close to being a big of a hit as Denver losing Koppen or the Ravens losing Pitta, or Eagles losing Maclin.

Re: Thank You Football Gods.

Of course not; there have been some major season ending injuries this year

I know there are a lot of people that do not play Fantasy Football but when a preseason injury affects a first round draft in FF its huge.

Couple of years ago we had to draft a little earlier than normal and player in our league drafted Jamal Charles in the first and Peyton Manning in the second as the Colts rumours said he would be back.Few days later the news comes out that he is done and then in the second game of the season Charles tore his ACL.
That was his last season of FF

I was walking down Poydras when I read the news about Morgan & Coleman. I immediately thought about this thread and had a little chuckle. Not happy but I KNEW this thread was going to be pulled back up. lol

Things happen for a reason guys.

But perhaps the reason is the football gods want us to suck.

I prefer to think of it as giving us the option of adding ""after all xxxxxxx" we still beat the Falcons."
