this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I am going to be in Houston near Lincoln Park North Houston. Will be there in training for the first two preseason games. Can someone tell me a place near there to socialize and watch these games. Thanks...

I don't know anything in that area and bring a heater. Your roughly 5miles from Greens Point (Gunspoint).

Give it some time and check the board. Skymike inc. will probably make a tailgating thread soon for the HouDats and the rest of the B&G members that are planning to go up there.

I'm incorportated now? (I think PAPZ meant "etc. lol)
Supertek, thats the 60,000 dollar question, as far as catching preseason. Would you believe I dont know where Lincoln Park is? If its near GunsPoint, bring your bullet proof vest. I have struggled now for 30 years to catch the Saints preseason. The Regular seas BUT, preseason???? Drives me BANANAS. We have had 10 kinds of hell getting together for preseason. We had a place on the SW side of town called Big Johns that had an old school dish, and got it a few times... I dont know about them. I wont go to Woodrows anymore, because they dissed my friend, and gave the wrong answer, when I called them on it. (and we used to bring them in big $$$ and much advertisement. They never could get preseason anyway... I no longer live in Houston, but still work there, but I wouldnt mind getting together if we could find someone reliable with an old type dish--- although there's no guarantee they'd have it. I would like to talk to RAgin CAjun sometime in the next couple days.... They treated us Hou-Dats like royalty in the past. |

Re: Houston Fans Pre Season
I think there's a bar in Houston named Woodrow's(downtown?) that Saints fans gather to watch the game... though I can't say I'm 100% positive. Maybe someone else can confirm that for you.
I meant incompany. Did I use it wrong? Maybe I should have said and company. I know crap... stop busting my chops! ^_^ |

Re: Houston Fans Pre Season
sorry, Papz... I knows youz edumocated.
I wont go to Woodrows anymore after the way a mgr spoke to Pope Ed I, our founding member of the Hou-Dats. It looks like my best bet is to sit in my wife's car. She picks up WWL better than my truck. Its a shame we cant get it on tv. I've been going thru this problem for 30 years now. Trying to watch the Saints preseason. Hey, the Replay broadcast is Saturday, according to my guide. I have a gig, so I'll have to watch it Sunday. All I need to know is that Drew is healthy, then I am perfectly happy to watch the rookies and other guys, and see who looks like they'll make the team. Also, Im excited to see what Rob Ryan's D can do. |

I used to live in the Galleria area 25 years ago and felt safe there(I am a member of the NRA and a black belt). Unfortunately, I can't cut a bullet in half in the air with a sword. |
