As long as it stays a discussion it will remain. Once it goes to Idiot Ville, which I suspect will happen if it survives 3 weeks on page 1 of this area it is in jeopardy. Falcons fans are too busy beating up on the Falcons presently to be bothered with us.

Re: Sunday, 8 September 2013 Falcons v. Saints
I am not too happy about the noon kickoff on this one. The Dome always seems so much louder and wilder in a 3 PM or night kickoff. If you look at the recent history, night games at home against the Falcons are always epic beatdowns, it's the noon games and the road games that are halfway to being close games. We haven't had the Falcons at HOME for a night game in a couple of years now. It's yet another way the league manipulates and keeps giving the Falcons a break in the scheduling, trying to help them "rise up". I guess after we clobbered them 45-16 and Brees broke the record, the networks have learned that those games in the Dome aren't usually very close, LOL.

We have played the Panthers at 3 PM in the Dome before. And the Rams. Look it up. So it is NOT just West Coast teams. And it's not always noon. Trust me, I know when the games are. |

I know this isn't a smack thread, so just thought I'd post a well known fact.

Re: Sunday, 8 September 2013 Falcons v. Saints
Our normal start time is noon, as with all teams in the Central Time Zone, BUT actually, the NFL does move some times to put attractive matchups on national tv. We dont get a lot of these, because we sucked last year.
Our game vs. the 49ers this year is apparently attractive nationally, and also this is probably placed at 3pm so their audience doesnt have to tune in it at 11am Pacific Time. I can remember when we sucked so bad we always kicked off at noon at home, and rarely had a Monday Night game. |
