I understand it from the Saints view. Dump the salary of an aging veteran, who isn't best in the 3-4, and get a draft pick. Humber plays like a young Vilma by the way. He really flashed against the Chiefs. I can see why the Eagles would be interested. Bring in a proven vet to provide leadership and solid play. Try to compete this year as best you can. My guess it's injury related though.

Been a long time since I seen Vilma play a full game, much less a full season.
Trade him? Trade him for what? So he goes to Philly and sits on IR there?
