Jimmy Graham: We’re more dynamic offensively than we’ve ever been

1 Attachment(s)
From the bounty suspensions in the offseason to a losing record on the field, last year was not a good one for the Saints as a team.

It also wasn’t an ideal one for tight end Jimmy Graham as an individual. His 85 receptions for 982 yards and nine touchdowns weren’t bad, but they were a drop from his spectacular 2011 campaign and they came through gritted teeth as Graham fought a wrist injury that he described as “very difficult” this week and which required surgery in the offseason.

Graham is healthy now, though, and he feels ready to join up with quarterback Drew Brees to take things up to an even higher level than he was at in the 2011 season. And he believes the same goes for the entire offense.

“Drew and I are already in mid-season form,” Graham said, via Jim Corbett of USA Today. “Right now, we’re more dynamic offensively than we’ve ever been.”

The prospect of a Saints offense that’s more dynamic than it has been in the past is one that should make for some uncomfortable defensive coordinators around the league. And if Graham’s read is correct, it should make for a pretty good year to use as a springboard for talks on a contract extension.

Didn't we just have a thread talking about how Graham has been struggling with a case of the drops this training camp? I hope that is not mid-season form.

My thoughts exactly!
Sounds like the hype/pr machine just popped the clutch.

Ok. Now stop dropping so many balls in practice.

Are we going to break the record for dropped passes?

I like the Dude and I am hoping that Henry Ellard will find a way to fix the dropsies.

So far I'm not really that impressed with Ellard. He isn't producing field ready WR's like I hoped he would.

When we lost Curtis Johnson to Tulane, I said that would hurt us but not many agreed. Wish we could get him back!
