You can never evaluate everything and there is no need to.

Weekly the game planning changes as the opponent changes.

You prep for and execute the basics in preseason and then plan for the opponent specific items furring the week before the game.

Even personnel, there is just enough time to run the gamut of x,y,z and grade accordingly in the preseason because cuts are coming up and you want to make sure you keep the most value... That is also why it is still somewhat basic before we are down to 53.... Don't want someone you cut showing up in Atlanta knowing your advanced plays before the season even starts.

^ This. I don't know why, but I just have a sinking feeling that the Texans are going to dink and dunk all over the place and picking on Will Smith and it's going to end up being just like the Chiefs game and that last two-minute drive in the Raider game, 5-10 yard chunks all the way down the field. I'm worried that the no-huddle or two-minute drill seems to be working a little too well against the Saints.

If they dink and dunk on us all game like KC did then neither team will learn or gain anything from the game.

In short, I'd want to see my players weaknesses for what they are instead of masking them with scheme just to win the game.

Play a young CB on Johnson all game. See how he reacts after getting beat.

Play a base 3-4 against 3 WR's. See how these young LB's react in over-matched coverage situations.
I can also see us doing the same on offense. Coach could stay with the run & deep pass just to see what then RBs, WRs, & O line can do.

Losing or winning this game is not going to tell the coaches too much. I am sure there are bubble players but you know at least 43 of the final 53 are set.

They can Dink/Dunk all they want. When Brown is one arming Watt, and Stills is burning them deep...
They will have to take to the air, that will put the ball in K-Vac's hands.... Schaub like to throw a game or two.

There is a reason D/D is not used as a full game plan.... It is as slow as a running game but wears an o-line out.
