Who to blame for the loss?
The game's not even over, but I'm already saying that we're going to lose this game. What a horrible performance.
And I don't want to hear any BS saying that the black jerseys are too hot. Play football, for God's sake! I blame: 1) Aaron Brooks. If you're still fumbling snaps in the red zone, you aren't supposed to be in the NFL. You shouldn't even be starting in the Arena League. 2) The WR corps. Still dropping balls and afraid to take a hit across the middle. Make a play, dammmit! 3) The front 7 on defense. They've let a 40+ year old running back shred them up, and then they let him THROW A TOUCHDOWN PASS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS CAREER. John Pease obviously isn't getting it across to these guys. 4) The offensive line. They alone have caused more penalties than anyone else on the team. They cost us a TD (Montrae Holland's holding call) and numerous false starts (that's YOU, Victor Riley!). 5) The coordinators. Incompetency, anyone? Venturi has let one of the worst offenses in the league run up and down the field on them and is making Josh McCown look like Joe Montana. On the other side of the ball, Mike McCarthy continues to define predictability. I had a string of 5 straight plays where I was able to tell what the play would be. Your 2 TE set still isn't working, and Mike Karney is too good to be sitting on the sidelines. 6) Jim Haslett. Don't think for a second that this loss wasn't his fault. Once again, he has proven that he cannot coach in any way, shape or form. A loss against this sort of team is a sorry excuse. YOU failed this team and us the fans. And go ahead and make up some excuse for not winning. It just shows that you're not man enough to take the blame for this performance. No, I'm not blowing off steam from the game. The Saints once again thought that they could win without any effort. Well, they just got a huge kick to the face. If you sunshiners think for a second that this team will still go above .500 this season, then you are seriously mistaken. 7-9 is still an overachievemen for this team.t |
