Rod Sweeting
Andy Tanner

There will be some tough cuts made this year.

Too soon to tell. We'll know more after the Texans game.

I just think there were several guys you show cut that are gonna make this team.

I definitely think Walker and Rufus make the team. They knew Rufus was raw with loads of potential when they drafted him, and he's shown both sides of the coin in practice. I think he makes it.

Eric Martin should make the club, but they might think he'll clear waivers and we can sign him to the PS.

Olsen was 1st off the bench at OG and OC. I saw nothing from Tiller that suggests he should get the job.

I'll admit its gonna be the most difficult 53 to project in a long long time. We're gonna cut some good players.

You also cut every WR except 5. I think we go 6 WR's.

BTW I'm currently at 63 players. LB's and DE's are just too hard to guess right now.

Thats the problem once you get down around 60 some hard decisions come into play. Some reasons why I cut people were their ability to be practice squad players and the experience they have in the NFL (Atkins/Richardson > Martin/Johnson). I wish we could keep more on the roster, but some of these guys will have to be hidden on the practice squad.

There's also IR. Knowing Payton some of the younger guys will probably end up stashed on IR with "he has a knee" "he has a toe" etc.
