Re: New Writers at Bleacher Report.
I think I've told this story before, but it so applies. A couple of years ago, my friend found out he was celiac and had to cut out all of the gluten in his diet to stay alive. Before long half the people I worked with went gluten free. Then folk started showing up at my parties with this New Planet beer and I would notice when the fat lady sang, all the good beer would be gone and my fridge would be full of this gluten free New Planet stuff. I ignored it figuring it would be along the lines of sugar free cookies. Bleah! Finally the day came when I needed some room in the old ice box so I called my celiac friend and asked him if he wanted this New Planet stuff. He did so I carted it over to him. I asked him what he thought of it and he told me it wasn't bad. We opened a couple, sat down on his porch and.... Well just because something's not bad, it doesn't mean it's any good. Just sayin'.
