this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Salary caps and guaranteed money are the only reasons Smith and especially Vilma would have made the team this year. I'm a big fan of both guys but there is no way either of them is worth nearly the money. ...

Salary caps and guaranteed money are the only reasons Smith and especially Vilma would have made the team this year. I'm a big fan of both guys but there is no way either of them is worth nearly the money. Smith is just not a LB and Vilma will be getting an artificial knee before he's 40.
