Yep... Some people do not see the dynamics that are associated with some people stats... That happens and Smiths numbers go down due to a double team and some where there is a WR that looks great on paper not because of his abilities but because of a super star drawing all the double coverages.

Colston on the field is great, Graham on the field is great, Moore on the field is great put them all on the field at the same time and the requirement for good single coverage makes them very dangerous.

The New Orleans Saints trade their 2014 1st and 2nd round pick for Aldon Smith...

Madden move.

Here's my take so far...
ILB - David Hawthorne
ILB - Ramon Humber
ILB - Curtis Lofton
ILB - Kevin Reddick (or Jonathan Vilma if healthy)
OLB - Junior Galette
OLB - Rufus Johnson
OLB - Eric Martin (or Baraka Atkins, can't decide yet)
OLB - Parys Haralson
OLB - Martez Wilson
With all I have read on Haralson he will beat out Junior or Wilson on the OLB starting spot, now if he does I would love to see Wilson on the ILB spot. If this guy is as good as they say he gives us a lot more flexability to move other lb's around. Here goes. ILB's Wilson, Hawthorn, Humber, and Reddick. OLB-Galette, Haralson, Martin, Johnson. Here me out on Rufus-Haralson would be an excellent mentor for this young man and possibly unleash his potential. I like Lofton very much and think he is one of the best MLB in a 4-3 in the game today but I would shop him as soon as possible to a 4-3 team.If we are going 3-4 I would not wait until next season to put the finishing touches on the front 7. We could get a real good deal with Lofton.

Re: Haralson a Saint

A 7th round pick IF he makes the team. I don't know the percentages but a 7th round pick isn't a shoe in to make any roster. I have read that only about 5% of 7th rounders crack the starting line up. Not only did we get a guarantee with that 7th round pick. It sounds like many think he'll be a starter. I guess the 9ers would have let him go today without getting anything if they hadn't traded with the Saints.

The Saints got a sweet deal.

Re: Haralson a Saint

looks to be a solid depth move at the least.

if he returns to his form before the triceps injury it is a very good move.

still does not change the 2014 draft and the look for an impact LB early

Conditional 7th? Sold! No take-backs. Excellent deal. We knock it out with the UDFA pool anyways that late in the draft.

Haralson a Saint

That deal was a win/win, both parties made away well.. The 49ers now have 11 draft picks for 2014 and 3 of those are sevenths...
They will use them to trade up.

We at the very worst matched Smiths talent.
