Everyone overlooked us in 2009, they didnt care about our winning streak and I bet you like many of us would prefer to stay under the radar and get an end result just like 2009.

We'll see what Lance has under his hat for his touchdown dances this season. Let's hope he has so many touchdowns that he can't think of anything to do! That would be lovely.

Meanwhile... Lance's birthday is Saturday. Big shout out for the big 3-0. I know, I know... I don't look old enough to have a kid that old.

Truly a modest woman. You are however, as burdensome as it may be.. celebrity status here. We are simple fans that rarely if ever get an opportunity to interface with the players we so love much less their mothers. You are Lances mother so the whole "Lance Moore's mom" persona is old hat to you... You visiting us here is the equivalent of Elvis's mother visiting your salon.

We love your son nearly as much as you do and greatly appreciate you visiting and participating here at BlackandGold. We hope Lance has the season of his career this year and stays healthy.

A big part of Lance's popularity and success has been his humility, work ethic and down-to-earth attitude. Everyone in the NFL is a talented athlete, but not many of them have those attributes, and I think it is apparent from your comments that he gets them from his mom.
I believe the Saints, and we as fans, pride ourselves on the fantastic personalities of our players, which is why we will hold all of the players' parents in as high esteem as the players themselves. Without great parents like yourself, our guys might have ended up like Roddy White, and no one wants that.

Thanks, everybody for all the wonderful comments and compliments. I sure don't feel like a celebrity, but I can truthfully say that I don't mind riding on Lance's coat tails a little bit -- getting a good table at a restaurant or little appetizers we didn't order making their way to our table... That part is very cool. I don't mind sharing Lance will all of you good people. He is part of the city of New Orleans now and forever and that makes me very happy. Lance loves Saints fans and he really enjoys visiting kids in school and going to the various hospitals to visit the patients. I does my heart good to know that my son can make people happy just by being himself and that he never tires of doing so. I love the city and its people. Anyone who hasn't been there doesn't know what he/she is missing.

I'll let you all know when I'm going to be at a game, then you can keep an eye out for me. I'll be the mom in the 16 jersey.

Feel free to chat me up, and PLEASE call me Debbie or dmeeze. Remember, I really am just a regular mom... (And no, I won't get to celebrate Lance's birthday with him in person.
