And, since we missed out on Steve Mariucci. Dennis Green, Tom Coughlin, and Bill Parcells... Who can we not afford to miss our on this time. And let me say something... If you all start with your Nick Saban isht... At least be realistic... Bob Stoops is more qualified. Bring it... Seriously |

I hear Steve Spurrier is available...
Just kidding. Hell, I don\'t know. I went to a high school game Friday night and saw better coaching than I did today. Bob Stoops and his team are over-rated IMO. What about that coach at Georgia? I do think we need a REAL HEAD COACH and not just former player, coordinator, or variation thereof. |

How is Bob Stoops overrated but MArk Richt (that guy at Georgia) isn\'t?
Last I checked the goal was winning a National Championship See, I need more. More background work from you people... |

My only selection for head coach , Romeo Crennel ..
Crennel is the defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots . While certain fools are quick to bring up Belichicks win - loss record in New England and say it is average and they are lucky or something like that . Crennel becomes the defensive coordinator in New England in 2001 , the previous season the Pats were 5 - 11 . Under Crennel the Pats went 11 - 5 in his first season as defensive coordiator . The Pats are currently 35 - 14 with Crennel as their defensive coordinator ...... [Edited on 4/10/2004 by saintz08] |

Crennel is definately a good prospect. I think another may be Jim Johnson of Philly. He has the Eagles defense playing well even with the players they\'ve lost over the past few seasons.

Well the coaching is pitiful at best but i\'m not for getting some college coach that has never coached in the NFL. I\'m not sure who\'s out there right now but I for one sure as hell don\'t want to wait till the end of the year to find one. A new coach now sure can\'t be any worse than the ones we have. :no_no:

Hold the phone ............. Romeo Crennel has coached a defensive position in 5 Super Bowls . The man knows what it takes to get a team to the Super Bowl and he has done it with the likes of Parcels and Belichick . Simply put , he should be the only prospect . Saint fans should hang his name on a banner at the Super Dome for the rest of the season \" Romeo for Head Coach \" would look great to me . |

We also lost out on Lovie.
Crennel looks good , but the Pats have some pretty complicated cover schemes. I\'m org from Mass and still cover them closely. I\'ve seen their D once described as an ever shifting amoeba. Crennel would have to seriously simplify things for this bunch, and new players. I think Johnson is really old? |
