As was originally posted, a source that has posted information before has posted this RUMOR...

...we take it for what it is, discuss for discussion sake, and what happens will happen...

...was posted in Big, Red Markup > RUMOR...

Didnt take a genius to figure out Tebow would be cut if you watched the preseason games

2 for 7 for -4 yards, yeah he deserves a roster spot

Well Ingram did not do that well against Dolphins soon to be cut players. Im all for it although I would rather see us trade for talent that could help us at Lb now.
I tried to tell you this might happen during the Dolphins game. Yea its a rumor, but all rumors are based on some kind of truth. Even if the truth in this case is that a trade involving Ingram is not a bad idea.

Ingram did okay, 9 rushes for 49 yards and a TD, nearly 5 YPC

He is also trucking with his signature stiff arm. Not many opportunities to do that last year. Get him to the edges, get him screens, passes and he's going to be effective.

Preseason fine, 17 point lead fine.... PT no longer on the team, sure.... Other than that Ingram gets no screen over PT.

Also, he has to get himself to the edges.... He hasn't been able.

When Ingram's in the game opponents should be expecting anything. He can do just fine in the screen game. Comparing him with Pierre is unfair. PT may be the absolute best screen pass RB in the entire NFL. That doesn't mean we shouldn't throw screens to Ingram.

And getting outside hasn't been an Ingram problem as much as it was an O-line problem. Payton stated its one of the things he wanted to improve upon.

No defense has ever had to guess what was coming out of our backfield in a few years..... It doesn't work that way with RB by a committee of specialists.

Reggie may have been the last to leave a defense guessing and that is because he didn't know which way he was going to go either.

With Reggie the only question was east or west.:p

PT is a complete RB. Defenses must prepare for anything.
Ingram will be used more like PT this year. So far he looks good at it.
Sproles is a scat back, so the draws and pitches will keep defenses guessing.

I think Cadet offers a lot of what Sproles can offer, skill set wise.

Robinson looks like he can become a complete back pretty soon. He looks to be able to do everything well. Thats why I don't get the Ivory comparisons at all. Robinson is way more versatile than Ivory ever was.

Robinson, to me looks like a stronger faster PT, thats dangerous!
