sometimes you got to bite the bullet. We are going to have to deal with there contracts at some point very soon and id rather it be this yr when Jimmy is under contract than next yr when he is a free agent

Then you deal with it when you KNOW what Jimmy is going to cost you.... That being said... You do realize we are not talking about 1-2m? Cutting Smith and Vilma accelerates 10.5 million against our salary cap this year.. meaning you would have to cut 3 more just to break even.

Next year it's only 3.5m. Your cutting off your nose to spite your face.

its not about this yr its about the future take the hit this yr cut our losses and move on. Look vilma smith and harper were warriors for us but there time is up

i still stand by my thought to cut them. Look smith won't help us this yr. next yr he's another yr older and still playing out of position. Vilma probably wont help us much this yr either and probably will be cut next yr anyhow. harper well he may give us some play but he is also a liability in coverage .I understand everyone making a big deal about the money i do i rather shed the over priced guys this yr than next yr

For our limited understanding of the team some of these seem strange.

But we don't have the same info the coaches do, so I am inclined to trust them.
