Hahaha, The B D J. Boring story, not going to tell it
I will be sitting up in Section 632 when I am in town this season but I actually own a season ticket in 140 (once again long story and boring). As things stand I am in for this game and the 49ers game and then the Falcons road game. I want to try and squeeze another game in the middle if possible but then there is obviously the playoffs to consider! Can we duke the game out on Tecmo bowl? Saints win 94-76 or something. Mark Ingram rushes for 3 miles! hahaha |

Re: Brian Baldinger must be expecting a blowout
If this game is a blow-out, it will be the Saints doing it.

It's pretty simple: take the relative positions of the teams involved from last year (or over the last 8 weeks if in season), and project it onto the prediction. So Atlanta was 13-3 last year. They were in the NFC Championship game. The Saints were 7-9. They had the worst defense in the history of the NFL for a single season. Projection: Atlanta will do well against the Saints. Rinse and repeat for all 16 matchups. Of course the missing element to this is that neither are the same team as last year. Also missing from the the equation is that the historically bad defense from last year still managed to slow Atlanta down enough for the Saints to plunk their first loss on them last season, when Atlanta was 10-0 and the national media was already handing them the Lombardi. I've gotten to the point where I pretty much ignore the national media except to see whatever meager Saints segments they deign to serve up once a month or so. I've been scanning through NFL Live for a month. I believe the only Saints segment was when Will Smith was injured. And that was in an entire month (interrupt by the Little League World Series for about 8 days). It's going to be a close. It's always close. 1 superior offense (Saints) and one very good one (Atlanta). Two defenses that are each lacking. One very motivated SuperBowl winning head coach with 53 guys that would rather die than to lose to that Atlanta squad. Personally I see 2006 all over again. Atlanta will be wondering where that Mack truck that hit them went when they wake up. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

If Baldy and Billick had sex they'd produce a falcon

Re: Brian Baldinger must be expecting a blowout
They are not the only ones drinking the Kool-Aid. Half of the FoxSports1 crew picked Atlanta to win it all this year.
Billick does have somewhat of an excuse. Mike Smith is his Brother-in-Law. His sister would probably kick his butt if he wasn't a homer. SFIAH |

With no tackles and rabbit ear matty lice, it is likely to be a great day for us and not so nice for them. But it will be a basketball game not a football game.

Re: Brian Baldinger must be expecting a blowout
I'm not worried until I see their O-Line consistently block Jordan, Hicks, and our LBs...
