There were team captains before the NFL Officially recognized them in 2007... Sort of like there were bounties before 2009.

If you do not care why are you replying? We are trying to have a conversation here.

The point - since you were obviously too busy devising your usual obtuse and overaggressive jerk squad reaction to COMPREHEND WHAT YOU WERE READING - is that there are plenty of players capable of taking on a leadership role, whether Vilma is playing or not, and whether that player has a patch on his jersey or not.

I hope I have explained myself clearly enough this time so as not to have offended your oh-so delicate sensibilities and not have to put up with yet more ridiculous argumentative crap.

Morstead is a wonderful pick. The guy lives and breathes Black and Gold and demonstrates to everyone just how fundamental a part of the game something like punting is!

Not to mention he wears cool t-shirts, constantly calls out the FailClowns and was an absolute beast on a couple of tackles last year as well!

Legend. Deserved.

Re: Captains Dinner was tonight!

Isn't the special teams captain usually off the roster in a couple of years?
If so, it's time for some Cajun voo doo.
