Because blitzing is pressure, and QB's under pressure make mistakes. I may be in the minority here but ill take an INT over a sack any day of the week.

Re: Payton keeping quiet

The question is how does Ryan feel about leaving our back end exposed? Greer and Lewis need a big big game.

Re: Payton keeping quiet

I just want a "W" any way possible. I'm anxious to see what our defensive philosophy or "identity" will be to start the season. Realistically, I don't anticipate us holding them to a low number at total yardage. That ATL O is too rich with playmakers to think that, but I do anticipate a Saints' victory and lots of pressure on Matt Ryan's a$$. They have no answer for our offensive firepower or defensive line/OLBs. Let the Falcon roasting begin!

Gotta hope the line can keep collapsing the pocket.

In theory; it seems like they don't have the personnel to fix it; but who knows...
If Brees got sacked like that in preseason we'd never here the end of it yet somehow for them it's no big deal just a minor issue? Payton said LT kept him up at night. Maybe Smith is a deep deep sleeper.

Re: Payton keeping quiet

This game sets the tone. We need to win & win well to get both the O & the D going strong.
