I think we will lose one at Atl and at Car. I think we will drop possibly one more, could be the San Fran game, but the good news about the San Fran game is, we could turn around and beat San Fran in the playoffs.

Whoa! 5 yards separated us from being 0-1 so I'm not ordering my Super Bowl tickets yet. Defense looked ok but we can NOT be a field goal kicking team. We have got to tighten that up. The good news is that we're starting out 1-0 and everyone else in the NFC South started out 0-1.

True. We haven't done anything more than win a game. Still, it was against Atlanta, and they do have some weapons. It may only be one win, but it was an encouraging one for sure!

It was kinda' nice for a change not having to hang your hopes for a victory on just the offense though, eh?. I said it once and I'll say it again, "It might not be pretty and we might lose a few fans along the way from heart attack, but everything's gonna' be alright",.

A goal line stand against a lethal offense where our rookie draft pick; that most didn't want, broke up a pass to a Hall of Fame TE is hardly frame-able as a ho-hum 5 yard separation between W/L

The more important thing is that we won a close game, and one we could have lost at the end. Once you start winning those it tends to repeat because the team THINKS they're going to win them. On the other hand, for the second game in a row, the failcons failed to score the winning touchdown when they had four plays right under the goal post. Losing like that can become a self fulfilling prophesy.

To this day I'd pull for Carolina or Tampa to beat the 49ers, if it doesn't harm my Saints in the standings.

Teams I hate most...
1. Anyone that stands in the way of my Saints, a Win, or playoff seeding.
2. Atlanta
3. 49ers
4. Thats enough hate for two people, so I'll just leave it at that.

The only way I'd ever pull for the Falcons or 49ers is if their winning helped the Saints. I'd just like to look at it as pulling against the other team.

If the Falcons and the 49ers play each other I pray for the stadium to fall apart and have the teams both hurt but no one killed.

I spent too many years with the 49ers beating us to EVER pull for them, even if they played Atlanta. Too bad there is not a way for both to lose, unless the whole stadium thing can happen.

You're absolutely right and I like your style working that Failclown fun-fact in there at the end,. But it is true, look at the leads Can'tlanta lost last season, especially in the playoffs, did they even think they could hold onto a 10pt lead in the Mercedes-Benz Dome? Like you said, 'self-fulfilling prophecy',.

Re: I'm afraid we're in trouble.

That team we played yesterday was in the NFC Championship game just last year. There's no reason for ordering next year's Super Bowl ring yet, but you can't play the "it's only preseason against the Raiders, I'm still not impressed" card, on a win like that. It was big.

The thing I felt was, look at the overall flow of the game: stuff got harder and harder for the Falcons offense to do, as the game went on, and it definitely got easier for the Saints offense to do what they wanted to do. THAT is how a game is supposed to look, especially a defense.
