That team we played yesterday was in the NFC Championship game just last year. There's no reason for ordering next year's Super Bowl ring yet, but you can't play the "it's only preseason against the Raiders, I'm still not impressed" card, on a win like that. It was big.
The thing I felt was, look at the overall flow of the game: stuff got harder and harder for the Falcons offense to do, as the game went on, and it definitely got easier for the Saints offense to do what they wanted to do. THAT is how a game is supposed to look, especially a defense. |
