The thing I felt was, look at the overall flow of the game: stuff got harder and harder for the Falcons offense to do, as the game went on, and it definitely got easier for the Saints offense to do what they wanted to do. THAT is how a game is supposed to look, especially a defense.

I'm always happy for a win, no matter how we do it, and yesterday's win was an INCREDIBLE start to the season. The defense played well enough to win and that's important, but I'm still worried about the offense. 23 points doesn't win a lot of games in a league that's getting more and more like Arena Football. There were a lot of low scoring games yesterday though. Next up is the yucks who totally shot themselves in the foot yesterday and pulled defeat out of the jaws of victory with an insanely stupid play, but the kind of play we've become accustomed to with schiano as their head coach.. We'll know more this time next week.

The offense will get in sync and get their timing together; Drew's too competitive not to.

I can't believe someone is actually worried about our offense. Our offense. Really?

Well come to think of it, it's not surprising at all. What's next on the checklist to complain about?

Poydras is a worry wart.

What worried me yesterday was how Drew under threw a lot of passes.
His pick was under thrown, had Stills wide open for what could have been 6 but Stills had to wait on the ball and it was broken up. Hopefully it was just a one day thing and Drew hasn't lost some arm strength.

One of the undertones I had to sift through involved a perceived decline in Saints all-world quarterback Drew Brees. I honestly don't understand what Saints fans want from Brees. If his league-leading 43 TDs weren't enough, his conducting of the second overall offense should have been.

The game against the Falcons was much of the same.

Going 26-of-35 for 357 yards (two TDs) was vintage Brees. His command of the huddle may be only superseded by his ability to execute. Any talk of his decline is premature at this point.

Fans expect perfection from Brees; they should just settle for him being better than 95 percent of the other quarterbacks in the league.

I don't expect perfection but I do worry about under thrown passes that leads to turnovers and missed opportunities. It wasn't just one pass. It was several. Even the completed passes had receivers going to the ground to make the catch when they could have made extra yardage if the ball had a little more on it. Now was it because of being under pressure, I'm not 100% sure and will need to look at the replay but sitting in the dome yesterday I saw several under thrown balls.

The Stills under throw could have been a timing issue... I can see Drew still working out the window for Stills and i can also see Stills adrenalin at 150% because of where he was and the whole first NFL game etc... Once he gets comfortable i hope the timing gets better.

Honestly, against Atlanta in the dome, my fat azz could run a 4.2s 40 for one of Drews passes with nothing but goal line in front of me also :).. So if I could have run a 4.2s then Kenny was running a 2.9s 40:bng:

Drew has never had a big arm. His timing was off thats all. The INT was just a great play by the DB and the other under-throws were timing issues considering they were all to stills.

Rhythm and timing is tough for an offense to get down. A new running scheme and new receivers means growing pains for the first few weeks.
