DLP? I agree, he looks like the weak link. Evans has actually been our worst O-lineman, but thats 100% due to playing injured in my opinion. A healthy Evans would solidify that interior. |

Brown has been called for holding in every game, well maybe not the Bucs game, but I think the ref called that on Evans in error because Brown ws definitely holding though Evans clearly wasn't and analysts questioned as much...; certain plays linger in my mind, like Drew's awful interception against the Bucs made more awful by Brown's attempt to stop the return... Grubbs? Dude got thrown like a toy in the MNF Miami game; and for what he's contracted, he should be doing the throwing... DLP worked his tail off to get here and is either injured (not reported) or is in a "I'm just happy to be here" mode which is good for traveling church choir attitudes but Not For Long in the NFL... Do Agree with regards to the Evans injury and his very competent backup's Leilito's injury having a significant effect; but we put two offensive linemen on IR to start the season so who's gonna cry them a river?!? Is it too late to trade Mark Ingram to the Rams (where he'd be a better fit) for Barrett Jones?!? ![]() |

Re: I'm afraid we're in trouble.
You and I both liked Jones in the middle rounds didn't we. I think we look at a stud center for 2014, either FA or early rounds in the draft. Imagine a player like Pouncey playing center flanked with Grubbs/Evans ?

Interior Line is definitely a priority as I think 8mil is 6mil too much for guard(s) so I'd geaux Rookie Uber-Guards that still want to run block, especially when we've got the 16.3mil Tight End Contract coming... Ever scouting report I've read on Jones talks about his smarts and personality - he'd be the modern day Art "Fatso" Donovan and would study and call the blocking assignments under a Payton/Brees Tutelage...now that intrigues my football brain like Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) would intrigue other parts of my brain... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
