His problems have already translated onto the field. He was suspended for the first half of the Rice game and then had to be benched in the fourth quarter for being a jerk. I don't want to see "johnny football" in Black and Gold.

Griffin will be the backup next year and possibly 2015 but after that someone will pick him up just like KC did with Daniel. 2016 we will probably sign Drew's replacement who will take over in 2018.

Jerks make the best athletes.

A drama filled, egocentric, loose cannon is exactly what we do not need for a QB and leader of this team. ESPECIALLY when contract time comes up.

Draft him for your FF team, I don't care to ever see him in B&G.
Rugby Saint II and |Mitch| like this.

I don't think he'll be good in the NFL. His attitude doesn't bother me though. I like it. You know me, I've got no issues with all that stuff. If I thought he'd be good I'd love to see us draft him. But I don't believe in him as a NFL QB yet. I like Tahj Boyd. I love Bridgewater. I like Aaron Murray. Manziel is a gamble as far as skill set.

Oak! Jairus Byrd is demanding a trade! The Malcolm Jenkins experiment can finally end!

With a $7M base salary? We are lacking about 1M in cap space. Plus cutting Jenkins comes at a 1.6M dead money cap hit effectively giving us -$2.6M in our pocket

We can't work out a new deal for him to sign after the trade to relieve the cap issue? His contact was a franchise tender.

he's not healthy dealing with plantar fasciitis, same thing that keeps Colston sidelined from time to time. Don't need that in a DB.

Re: Could Ryan Griffin be the future for the Saints?

Griffin's got potential down the road. Cant deny Luke M.'s preseason play, I was somewhat impressed. He should definitely be #2.

Drew will be around a bit barring massive injury so no point worrying about the future at the moment.

FYI those of you bringing up Johnny football need help.
