The O Line
We came out with a win today but I haven't seen any discussion on our Oline. It seemed at times our offense stuttered and I think it's because we got handled by ATL D linemen. I was not impressed with how Strief and Brown played and times we couldn't get push for our RBs.

Re: The O Line
I'm not gonna sugar-coat it... Our O-Line looked like garbage. Between Jahri's holding penalties and the pressures allowed by Grubbs and our tackles there's a lot of work to do. Considering how inept Atlanta's D-Line is, that was one of the worst performances I've seen lately from our O-Line.

Re: The O Line
Lucky Brees had his wits about him for the most part. But this o-line is a veteran group. They will get it together. First game or two is always rough on those guys because for the most part they haven't gone full tilt in a year, and let's not dismiss the Falcons defense either, they are a solid bunch who are going to give you trouble up front.

Re: The O Line
I think a lot of ingrams woes come from our Oline and not him. The other factor that is affecting Ingram is something I touched on in the preseason - we use him one dimensionally. Defenses just know that when Ingram is in 9 times outta ten we are gonna run it. It's the problem I have with our running game.

Re: The O Line
It's a new blocking scheme on the runs...it's gonna take a game or two to get it together. I won't give them any slack after Game 2 considering they are professionals. Really not sold on the pass protection, either. Their front 4 got pressure without blitzing, which is scary considering their front 4 is about average. Good D-lines are gonna kill both our running and passing game unless they get it jelled in a hurry.

Re: The O Line
Enough excuses for Ingram... Pierre doesn't have any trouble running up the middle for 4 or 5 yards. Ingram is just horrible.
