As I posted in another thread, I am keen to go on record to hang my head in shame after giving Harper an unprecedented amount of heat through the summer. He played a blinding game out there on Sunday.

I'm not convinced he has played that well every week for 7 years and his pass coverage does leave a lot to be desired at times, but his ability and capability are there to be seen and he is a real presence on the field.

This further solidifies that the issue truly was the lack of pressure up top last season rather than the worst secondary of all time. Although I am also quick to make sure that everyone realises I agreed with THAT sentiment throughout the summer.

I never liked that Harper was becoming the goat of the Saints defense. He's a solid player.

harper has to be the best. (we have) anyway, got the job done sunday, as for hartley, no one has given him more shyt then me on his shaky past, but sunday i have to say he was solid as i ever seen a kicker. did i just say that.
