Getting only one choice i am going for aggression as it would make a lot of things better including but not limited to special teams, pass rush, and tackling.

We really need to run the ball with some authority.

In my opinion, the way to do this is actually very simple: LEAVE PT IN THE GAME a bit more.

The problem is Sean isn't returning my calls. :mad:

I have gone with the running game.
It would mean the offensive line is getting a decent push and players are making there blocks.Opens up so much more for Brees if the backs can start getting around 100yards a game

Id say offense running game but it all starts up front, if our Line has another game like the falcons one we wont be getting any yardage

The 6 penalties for 57 yards irked me the most. The only "work" our running game needs involves getting PT23 more carries. I like the aggression thought and how it's all encompassing, but I thought I'd be a little more specific. :-)

I'd say defending the passing game.. besides that 40 yarder we had the run game down pretty much but we've been gashed passing whether it be missed assignments or what not. Couple that with the big run improving we'd be looking cleaner than a baby's bottom

Special teams scares me too. They did ok in the Falcons game, but I don't have much faith in them. I have said all offseason that the playoffs may come down to how the special teams play to get us there. I am a Hartley hater, but I was impressed with him, and of course Moorestead is still boss.

Defending the pass, we look better in all other areas. I believe the ground game will be o.k. The secondary needs to get better quickly.

Ground game offense. How could I think anything else. Yep I lnow PT was the biz. But overall we coulda destroyed teh Falcons if our ground game overall was better.

The only bad thing about the ground game theory. The Bucs have a better run defense then the Falcons do, or at least they're "supposed" to...

The biggest issue with beating the Bucs is stopping the run. If Doug Martin never gets going, Drew can outscore Josh Freeman, no problem.

I thought the ground game was serviceable against Atlanta. The offensive passing game was what I think needs improvement. And, by improving, that could simply mean just catching the ball. Brees used Sproles as a crutch.

There's too many drops and we have to stop settling for field goals. The offense had more than a couple of chances to put the game away well before it had to rely on the defense once again to win the game.

Special Teams...specifically penalties. Field position is too important to negate even a short punt return with a holding penalty. I haven't re-watched the game, but it seemed to me like for most of the punt returns someone was flagged for holding or block in the back.

Does it make sense to run the ball against Atlanta when they have rookie and backup defensive backs playing the entire game... With drew and our Receiver corps..?

You are correct. I don't necessarily want to run more as much as I want to run more effectively.

I could live with a 55-45 pass/run ratio easily.

I believe the plan that Pat Kerwin referenced after an interview with Sean was around 58/42, but that was before it was announced that Atlantas starting d-back was out.

Would love to see more positive production from our ground game, would like to see M.Ingram get on a roll, I'msure he will ssteadily improve but 1 good game from him would do wonders for his confidence,..maybe Tampa will be a break out game for him...

I voted stopping the run but a lot of that goes back to tackling and aggressiveness still giving up big runs too much. Our offense is fine I'd like to see us run the ball better but I think it would be better if we didn't platoon so much. If there is any choice to the voting it would have to be on the defensive side of the ball weather its against the run or pass. I admit we looked better last week but we still have some work to do.

How do you slow down the pass rush? You run the ball more. You make the defenders work. Work to shed blockers. Work to make tackles. The O-Line needs to step up.

Toss up between Run game and O-line. If O-line improves, run game should improve. If run game improves, passing game improves. Give Brees a little time, and he is unstoppable.
I voted Run game overall however.
