this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Is there a consistency on fines though? Is there something that says if you get called for unnecessary roughness for hitting a sliding QB you always get fined 8k? Or is it discretionary depending on the level of the hit ...

Is there a consistency on fines though? Is there something that says if you get called for unnecessary roughness for hitting a sliding QB you always get fined 8k? Or is it discretionary depending on the level of the hit as decided by the league? If that's the case then the fines system is just BS.
