It will be Tanner most likely. The question will he be eligible for the practice squad since their will be no reason to resign him (Colston, Moore, Stills, Toon, and Meachem)

METAIRIE, La. — One of the Saints’ final cuts of preseason is back on the roster thanks in part to a spate of injuries along the defensive line.
New Orleans has re-signed versatile defensive end Jay Richardson, a league source confirms.With the re-signing, New Orleans must make a corresponding move on the roster. As of noon, it was unclear who the Saints have either released or placed on injured reserve.

The Saints saw nose tackle Brodrick Bunkley and defensive end Tyrunn Walker go down with injuries in the season opener against Atlanta. Training camp standout Glenn Foster missed all of practice leading up to the Falcons game and was limited during Wednesday’s session.

Richardson can work at both defensive end and outside linebacker.

Tanner had every chance to crack the lineup, but was beaten out each year. Love to see him stick around, but he wasn't better than Toon, Stills, or Morgan, and we still felt like we should bring back Meachem.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they did try that... I read that they've already tried out Courtney Roby. We all loved Roby but come on, he offers nothing as a WR so you know there's only one reason they would consider adding him: Info.

Don't even think it. I like Walker better than Bunkley. Bunkley is a fine run stopper, but gives little push into the backfield. Tyrunn Walker may be a little less stout against the run, but he does provide pass pressure from either the DE or DT position. Hopefully, these injuries are not season-ending, and these guys can just be among the inactives on game day.

I kind of suspected Richardson might be back after the first week in the cuts thread. IMO it was a mistake to cut him in the first place; we don't have anybody else on the roster who can play a 2-gap at the end and also have the sideline speed to play from the OLB spot.

I feel bad for Tanner. I know a lot of people love him because he's seen as being scrappy and smart and an underdog and all that stuff that goes along with being a white receiver. But I see him as the second coming of Lance Moore. Hope he finds his way back on at some point.
